Founded in 1627 during the Edo period, Funaya is Dogos most storied ryokan with nearly four centuries of hospitality. The property features a beautiful Japanese garden with a stream, large hot spring baths, and 58 rooms. The legendary haiku poet Masaoka Shiki and author Natsume Soseki were among its famous guests.
