About

Ryokan Sugawara in central Naruko preserves a 1960s Showa-era atmosphere — an indoor irori hearth where guests can grill seasonal seafood, wood-floored corridors, and a row of four small kashikiri private baths that any guest can reserve free of charge. The water is 100% kakenagashi (no recirculation). Kaiseki features stew-style nabe in winter, hayama-tofu and sansai in spring. ~28 rooms; staff speak Japanese only but the Trip.com booking handles language.
